BAD PLAID, 2021

With the animating snake pattern differing from the skull texture, ‘Bad Plaid’ marks an evolution in my skull designs. This piece was inspired by Utica Queen, my favourite avant-garde fashion designer and drag artist. I once spotted them wearing a gorgeous yellow plaid hat with maroon accents, and I needed to recreate the vibe thus, ‘Bad Plaid’ was born.
