CANDY WRAPPER, 2021

Candy Wrapper was stolen in June 2021, days after its creation and subsequent minting on the Ethereum blockchain. In addition to this piece, the thief took all the cryptocurrency I had made up until that point from my art.

The inspiration for 'Candy Wrapper' originated from a stunning hand-stamped candy bar I received as a birthday gift that June. While the crypto theft left a bad taste in my mouth, this beautiful candy bar did not. I meticulously reproduced its pattern, bringing it to life as an animating texture. ‘Candy Wrapper’ marks a noticeable progression in my skull compositions, incorporating additional models, a dynamic background, and a custom soundscape.
