Memento Mori LVX, my inaugural non-fungible tokenized artwork (NFT), debuted on the Foundation NFT marketplace in February 2021.

For my initial foray into the NFT space, I reworked my ‘SkullFlowers’ composition. The teeth were adorned with golden veneers and a small jewel. An animating texture of gold and white silk with crystal transparencies was applied to the skull, and a sizable diamond found its place in the skull's right ocular cavity, infusing the artwork with a more lavish appeal.

This piece has a lux feel, but it's a vanity

Snakes down your throat, gold on your teeth

and a diamond in your eye - you are going to die.

Memento mori and live life like the game that it is

Memento Mori LVX combines two concepts: Memento Mori, translating to 'remember that you die,' and LUX (written as LVX), an ancient Latin word meaning 'light.' It’s a tongue-in-cheek take on 'light' or 'lite,' satirically referencing the practice of offering 'lite' or calorie-reduced versions of products for consumers.
